Compensators provide flexibility and vibration damping
Compensators are essential flexible connections in piping systems and are used to achieve better movement, reduce noise and deal with temperature changes. At Otto Olsen, we supply compensators from the world's leading manufacturers, and our solutions are perfectly suited to piping systems for liquid and gaseous media.
Large stock of compensators at our warehouse in Norway
We stock a wide selection of the most requested compensators in our warehouse at Skedsmokorset, and weekly deliveries from our manufacturers ensure that we always have a good selection available. This system ensures that we can continuously maintain a stable stock and adapt to demand, so that you always have access to quality products when you need them.
O-rings in a variety of materials
O-rings are crucial components used in a variety of industrial applications. Our range includes o-rings in a number of different materials specially adapted to different areas of use and environments. This gives you the flexibility to choose the right seal for your specific needs.
O-ring applications
Some of the common uses for our o-rings include:
- Hydraulics and Pneumatics: O-rings are indispensable for sealing liquids and gases in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and we have seals that can withstand even the most demanding conditions.
- Machine building: Ideal for machine builders, our o-rings provide reliable sealing in everything from engines to valves and pumps.
- The automotive industry: O-rings are used in engines, brakes and air conditioning, and we offer products that meet the strict requirements of the automotive industry.
- The food industry: With food-approved materials such as EPDM and Silicone, our o-rings can be used in the food industry without worry.
- Oil, gas and energy: Our o-rings provide reliable sealing in demanding environments, including in oil wells and power plants.
Rubber bellows and flanges for compensators
Rubber bellows: Our compensators with rubber bellows are adapted to different media and temperatures:
- Available in 13 different rubber qualities
- Sizes between DN 32–DN 1000 mm
- Operating pressure PN 10–25 bar, depending on size and type
- Temperature from -40 °C to +130 °C, depending on rubber quality
Flanges:
- Modular system that fits all pods
- Certified materials - EN 10204-3.1
- Standard flanges with stabilizing edge
- Product marked with size, standard, material, manufacturer
- Cr (VI)-free corrosion protection for steel flanges is long-lasting and environmentally friendly
Advantages of compensators
Our compensators offer a large axial, lateral and angular range of motion with low reaction forces and low resistance, making them ideal for a variety of applications:
Absorption of stresses: Our compensators take up stresses caused by thermal expansion and equalize structural settlements or foundation movements.
Inspection friendly: The compensators contribute to flexibility in the pipe systems and simplify inspections when used as a pipe insert / expansion piece.
Noise and vibration reduction: Compensators reduce structure-borne noise and low-frequency noise caused by liquids in piping systems.
Assembly error compensation: By planning with compensators from the start, the risk of installation errors is reduced.
Choose the right compensator with our checklist
Media: Chemical composition, type (gaseous, liquid), particle wear
Place of operation: Indoor or outdoor, UV exposure, salt content
Operating conditions: Temperature, pressure, vacuum, axial/angular/lateral movement
Certificates: Required certificates according to pressure equipment directives
Documentation and certificates
Our compensators can be supplied with both material certificates and pressure test certificates to meet your specific requirements. Feel free to contact us for more information about available certificates and documentation.
