Why use plastic components?
- Cover openings and protect against sharp edges
- Seal threaded holes on valves and other applications to prevent dirt and liquid from entering
- Tight end terminations on small and large pipes
- Prevent the ingress of dirt, moisture and liquids
Plastic components designed for harsh and challenging environments
- Wet and humid environment: Plugs can be supplied with or without gasket for extra sealing
- Unclean environment: Effective end closures that prevent particles and contamination from entering the application
Typical products within the plastic components category
- Conical stoppers
Our conical plugs are used for end terminations of pipes, such as VA and VVA. Can be adapted to projects with special requirements.
- Protective covers and caps
Our protective caps/caps provide good protection for flanges and pipe ends against dirt and damage, both externally and internally. Suitable for, among other things, VA and VVA. We can also offer adaptations for projects with special requirements.
- Plugs and caps
Our plugs and caps with internal or external threads ensure secure sealing against dirt, moisture and damage during installation, transport and storage.
- Propper
Our plugs are used to seal holes in boards, furniture, pipes and other structures. Available in square, round and rectangular designs. We offer customizations for projects with special requirements. - Nut caps
Our nut caps provide extra protection for metric nuts and bolts. Both standard nuts and nuts with long bolts are in our range.
Which material is right for you?
The choice of polymer material is very important for both quality and price. These are some of our most commonly used materials:
LDPE – Low Density Polyethylene
LDPE is the most common material for protective plugs and caps.
The material generally has good chemical and corrosion resistance and is quite flexible.
LDPE is suitable for temperatures between – 50 °C up to 80 °C. At higher temperatures,
The material will soften very quickly.
HDPE – High Density Polyethylene
HDPE has a higher density, which also makes it stiffer than LDPE. The material generally has
good chemical and corrosion resistance. HDPE can handle cold and heat better than
LDPE. The recommended temperature is between -70 °C and 100 °C. At higher temperatures,
the material will soften very quickly.
PP – Polypropylene
Polypropylene (PP) has many similar properties to polyethylene (PE), but PP is
stiffer and even more heat resistant than PE. PP has very good resistance to
material strength, and is very often used in applications with a built-in hinge solution.
On the other hand, PP can become more brittle at low temperatures. PP generally has good
chemical resistance.
TPE – thermoplastic elastomer
A thermoplastic elastomer is a rubber-like elastic material. The operating temperature is
between -40 ºC and 100 ºC. TPE is less resistant to abrasion and chemicals.
PA 6 – polyamide
Polyamide is best known as "Nylon". The material has excellent heat resistance, and is most
used for caps and plugs that may be exposed to high temperatures. The recommended
The temperature is -30 ºC and 160 ºC. The material is hard and has good wear resistance.
Industries we supply to
Our plastic plugs and caps are robust and can withstand demanding conditions. They are used in a variety of industries and applications where reliability is required, including:
- VA-VVA
- Furniture industry
- Steel industry
- General industry
